What is our befriender service?

Our team of befrienders are bereaved parents, grandparents and adult family members, who offer bereavement support, which is arranged via the Support Team.

We know how isolating it can feel to be bereaved by sudden infant death, and sometimes speaking to someone who has been through something similar can be a comfort. Our befrienders offer support via email or telephone and can stay in contact for as long as you both agree to.

We aim to match you to a befriender based on similar personal circumstances, though this may not always be possible. However all of our befrienders are ready to listen and support you.

All our befrienders have been bereaved for over four years, and most for many more. They have all been given specialist training on how to be a listening support.

I want to find out more

I'm interested in becoming a befriender
