Understanding grief and providing effective support

Who this training is for:

Specifically aimed at professionals and practitioners who are providing on-going support to a family or an individual where a baby has died. It aims to give you an understanding of grief and the skills to provide effective ongoing support.

The course contains two modules, in the format of two video presentations with additional supporting video resources and leaflets.

Bereavement communication around baby loss

Who this training is for:

Designed for professionals and practitioners who may come into contact with bereaved families or individuals during their practice but do not provide them with on-going support. It aims to cover the principles of how best to talk with them, however brief your contact is, and irrespective of your role.

Understanding grief in a cultural context – baby loss

Who this training is for:

This training is specifically aimed at professionals and practitioners who are providing on-going support to a family or individual where a baby or young child has died, or those who may come into contact with bereaved families or individuals.

The training focuses on the cultural aspects of grief in relation to the death of a baby. It highlights the importance of taking cultural, ethnic and religious diversity into consideration when supporting bereaved parents after such a traumatic event.

This training gives you more information and guidance about interacting with bereaved families, and we hope it helps you to gain insight and improve your confidence for future situations.
