What is Baby Loss Awareness Week?

Baby Loss Awareness Week happens every year between 9th and 15th October. We raise awareness of baby loss and campaign for the provision of better bereavement care.

The final day of the week, 15th October, is International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. This is marked by the #GlobalWaveOfLight where families across the world light candles to commemorate the lives of their babies, and share memories of the all too brief time they had together.

The aims of Baby Loss Awareness Week:

United by the blue and pink ribbon, we work with an alliance of over 100 charities to:

  • Remember
  • Raise awareness
  • Drive change
