Angelcare
No family should face grieving their baby alone. Angelcare is helping us to raise awareness of our specialist bereavement services and have donated an incredible 250 breathing monitors to help support bereaved parents through our Care of Next Infant (CONI) programme. This partnership plays a crucial role in helping bereaved families manage the anxieties that can accompany caring for a new baby after experiencing a sudden and unexpected loss.
Their AC25-1 movement monitor is medically certified and will alert parents if their baby stops breathing, giving them the opportunity to intervene if necessary. While there is no research to suggest using a monitor can prevent SIDS, it can help give bereaved parents peace of mind and reduce some of the anxiety they experience while their babies sleep.
“At Angelcare, we are deeply honoured to partner with The Lullaby Trust in their vital mission to support bereaved families and promote safer sleep for babies. This collaboration is a privilege, allowing us to provide reassurance to families who have lost a child, when they welcome their new baby and make a meaningful impact in their lives. With the Medically Certified AC25-1 Baby Movement Monitor, we are committed to helping to ensure every bereaved family has the support they need during such a worrying time.” Rahul Sharda, CEO of Angelcare

For over 20 years Naturalmat Baby has made 100% natural, organic and chemical-free baby mattresses by hand from their Devon workshop. “Safer, healthier and better sleep for babies and children was why we created Naturalmat Baby over twenty years ago, and so we’re delighted to be partnering with The Lullaby Trust, whose purpose and mission are so aligned with ours. They have done an incredible job of increasing awareness in SIDS over the last 50 years and we’re honoured to support such a well-respected and impactful charity. One of our goals as a business is to make healthy sleep accessible to all, a desire shared by The Lullaby Trust, and so we hope this donation will give many babies the best possible start in life.” Mark Tremlett, founder of Naturalmat Baby
Snuza
This partnership focuses on supporting bereaved parents through The Lullaby Trust’s CONI programme which provides support for bereaved parents who go on to have another baby. Parents who have experienced a sudden and unexpected death of a child often feel anxious when they have another baby. The Lullaby Trust works with the local providers of public healthcare services to coordinate a national health-visitor led service for bereaved parents
The Snuza HeroMD Portable Baby Breathing Monitor is a wearable, medically certified device which attaches to a baby’s nappy and monitors their breathing while they sleep. The HeroMD detects the slightest of breaths and will alert parents if breathing is weak or stops, allowing them to intervene if nessasary. The Snuza HeroMD is accessible to bereaved families on our CONI programme in order to provide a little comfort for the first few months when their new baby is home.
“We are thrilled to support The Lullaby Trust and the valuable work they do. The Snuza monitor is so reassuring for parents and especially so for those having a rainbow baby. We are so pleased to embark on this partnership and support parents in such a worrying time”. Rebecca Fuchs of Nimans Home (UK Distributer for Snuza).
The Medicine and Health products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has reinforced the importance of having medical device certification on baby breathing monitors, by ruling that ‘baby breathing and movement monitor devices* are now required to apply for Medical Device Certification and become compliant in order to be allowed on the UK market’.
