Our advice to parents and professionals is based on peer-reviewed research from around the world. This research helps us to identify why, when and where babies and young children may be at risk of sudden and unexpected death.
The Lullaby Trust has been funding cutting-edge independent research since 1971 and is a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC). All AMRC members support the AMRC position statement on the use of animals in research.
We are also an active member of the International Society for the study and prevention of perinatal and infant death (ISPID) which supports and promotes an international conference on sudden infant deaths every two years. The last conference was held in Uruguay in 2016 and the next one will be in Glasgow in June 2018 organised by the Scottish Cot Death Trust
