Support continues for families in Scotland

In May 2025, The Lullaby Trust began discussions with the Scottish Cot Death Trust (SCDT) after financial pressures began affecting the SCDT’s ability to continue their vital work. Both of our charities recognised the importance of bereavement support and safer sleep advice continuing for families in Scotland.

After much consideration, the SCDT’s work has been transferred to The Lullaby Trust, which will now work across the UK in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. This ensures that life-saving information and vital bereavement support will continue for families in Scotland. After all, our charities have shared the same mission – to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families.
