Family Days

The support will enable us to continue to, providing 6 free days out to bereaved families across the UK.

Our Family Days are designed for children who have experienced the death of a baby brother or sister from SIDS. Each day-out offers a fun and supportive space where bereaved children can enjoy time with their family but also remember the sibling they have lost. This may be by talking openly with their parents, sharing with other bereaved children, writing in a memory book or simply thinking about their sibling. Each day has a dedicated area for families to meet, share and support one another, and access advice from volunteers and staff.

The Family Days will be delivered free of charge for approximately 500 families. They will be held at family friendly locations, like the South Lakes Safari, Cumbria and Jimmy’s Farm, Norfolk.

Jenny Ward Chief Executive of The Lullaby Trust said

“We would like to thank Morrisons Foundation whose generous funding will enable bereaved  families across the UK to spend time together, meet other families and receive support from The Lullaby Trust staff and volunteers. Our Family Days can be an important first step in a family’s longer term recovery, helping children and parents alike to open up, share and remember together.”
