The Lullaby Trust organises free Family Days every year for bereaved families. They are held across England, Wales and Northern Ireland at family-friendly venues.
During Family Days, you and your family can enjoy time in relaxed surroundings, meet and talk with other families, Befrienders, staff and The Lullaby Trust support team, if you wish.
As sudden infant death thankfully becomes rarer, we know how difficult it is to meet families who have been through a similar experience. Our Family Days allow you to be in a venue with other bereaved families, where you can chose to talk to families and our staff if you wish, or spend the day remembering your baby.
We know some families use the day to help have conversations with their children about the baby who has died.
Annually, approximately 700 people attend our Family Days held across the country, including a day in Northern Ireland. We are pleased to see the popularity of these days keeps growing and families tell us all the time how nervous they are at attending.
As parents tell us year in year out “as soon as I walk in and see the Lullaby Trust yellow and blue badges, I just know, the kids are going to be all right”.

Some quotes from families who have attended Family Days in the past:
“I would just like to say a very big thank you for our day out. We have had the best time. It was amazingly organised and we got to spend some amazing quality time together as a family. We really couldn’t be more grateful. We are just driving home now full of happy memories. So again a massive thank you from all 11 of us big and small.”
“It was lovely to meet you today. We would like to thank yourself and The Lullaby Trust for the brilliant day out today. The whole family really enjoyed the day which was very generous and well thought out. All the staff at Gulliver’s Kingdom were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Santa himself – Thanks again.”
“Thank you so much for organising the day we had a fantastic time and it was lovely to talk to one of the Befrienders she was so lovely and chatty.”
