Training overview

This training is designed for professionals working with families living in temporary and emergency accommodation. This will deepen your understanding of infant mortality and safer sleep risks related to temporary and emergency accommodation. The course will provide practical ways to support families to create safer sleep spaces and help you to have sensitive, supportive conversations with families about safer sleep.

The course features informative video presentations, supported by additional reading materials and publications to reinforce key learning points. You’ll gain a clear understanding of safer sleep advice to help support families in reducing known risks.

Within the training you’ll explore the fundamental messages around creating a safer sleep environment for babies and how these practices can help reduce the risk of sudden infant death. We will also build on this by discussing the wider risk factors that increase a baby’s risk of SIDS.
