Who we support

The Lullaby Trust supports any adult (18+) following the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child up to the age of 3 – 4 years.

Our support is available to:

  • Parents and carers.
  • Grandparents and all other adult family members.
  • Other adults affected by the baby’s or child’s death such as a family friend or professional working with the family.

Support can be accessed at any time following the death, whether it was recent or many years ago.

We do not provide counselling or therapeutic support.

The support we offer

At The Lullaby Trust, we offer bereavement support in a variety of ways, helping people access support in the way that feels most helpful to them.

Befriending support

We offer peer befriending support for adult family members whose baby or young child (up to age 4) died suddenly and unexpectedly. We aim to match people with a befriender who's had a similar experience, such as a bereaved mother to a bereaved mother. Please note: this is not a counselling service.
