Every year approximately a third of our income is raised through our amazing supporters taking part in challenge events or holding their own fundraising events. Many events have been cancelled or postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. This is having a significant impact on our income and the ability to deliver our work. We are determined to press on, working hard to save as many lives and support as many families as possible. However, we are reliant on the support of the public to help us do this.

Below is some information about how you can adapt your fundraising to support us in a different way. Our fundraising team are still available to discuss your options, so do get in touch to discuss your plans. Thank you for any help you can give us at this time.

Challenge Events

If you have a place through The Lullaby Trust to take part in a challenge event that has been cancelled or postponed and have not yet contacted us to discuss your options, please email fundraising@lullabytrust.org.uk. If you have your own place in a challenge event, please liaise directly with the event organisers.

Fundraising at home

Below are a few ideas for fundraising at home but if you were planning an event and would like to chat about how you can adapt it for the current situation, get in touch (fundraising@lullabytrust.org.uk) so that we can help you out.

Socially distanced fundraising ideascheck out our top 10 ideas for fundraising activities that can be held while staying safe.

Virtual Challenges – Get moving and get out for some fresh air by completing your own sponsored virtual run, walk or cycle. Choose a distance and a time frame that suits you. For example, you could complete X miles in a month or aim to complete X kilometres every day. If you are self-isolating but feel well enough, set yourself an indoor physical challenge such as completing 100 sit-ups every day or bouncing on the trampoline in your garden for an hour every day!

Donate your day – If you have a birthday or anniversary coming up, ask for donations to The Lullaby Trust in lieu of presents or if you were planning a meal out or drinks at a bar, donate what you would have spent. Alternatively donate the costs that you would have had in a regular day that you’re now saving from being at home, such as travel or gym membership.

Setting up an online giving page allows you to collect donations without having to handle cash and you can share the link to your page via email or social media. Set up a Just Giving page here or a Facebook birthday fundraiser here.

Shopping and selling online – When you shop online with Amazon Smile or Give as You Live you can raise money for The Lullaby Trust at no extra cost to you. If you have a clear out at home and find some things to sell on eBay, you can choose to support The Lullaby Trust by donating a percentage of the sale.
