Little baby boy at home

The Lullaby Trust has invested £12 million in research on sudden death of babies and toddlers and continues to support new research. Over the last 40 years the research we have funded helps us to identify why, when and where babies and toddlers may be at risk of sudden and unexpected death, making a major contribution to reducing sudden infant death by 85%.

However, while great strides have been made, SIDS has not gone away. This is why The Lullaby Trust worked on a project (Global Action and Prioritisation of Sudden Infant Death) with SIDS charities across the world to collect data from professionals in 20 countries and identify the most important areas for research over the next 10 years to reduce sudden infant death.
