In February 2016 our beautiful little boy Ezio was born. 33 days wonderful days later he grew his wings on 10th March.

On his anniversary I organised a 5k walk round the forest near where our little boy is buried; my husband and I got to bring Ezio’s little brother along with us this year which was very special. It was a bit of a damp day but there were still 15 of us there in total. We were super proud of our friend’s children Sam and Marnie who did the whole 5k with us and didn’t complain once.

Ezio and Arno’s Granny made us all soup and cake to warm up after the walk. It was a really lovely way to remember our little man. It’s always a painful day with lots of memories of having to call friends to tell them we lost him and working in the hospital he died is incredibly hard at times.

I feel very blessed to have been able to do this walk in his memory and raise money for The Lullaby Trust at the same time. I hope our money can help support more families and find out more about SIDS. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Cat has now gone on to run The Great North Run, The Royal Parks Half Marathon and is training for the London Marathon for Team Lullaby.
