Training overview

This comprehensive training is specifically designed for professionals and practitioners who are providing ongoing support to individuals or families following the death of a baby. Whether you’re a bereavement midwife, health visitor, counsellor, support worker, or other frontline practitioner, this course will deepen your understanding of grief and help you build the skills and confidence to offer effective, compassionate support. 

The course is delivered through two modules, supported by additional video resources and downloadable leaflets to reinforce key learning points. It explores the emotional and psychological impact of baby loss and the importance of communication, trauma-informed care, and thoughtful signposting when supporting bereaved families.

If your role involves brief or one-off interactions with bereaved families, we recommend bereavement communication around baby loss.

If you provide ongoing or regular support to bereaved families, we recommend understanding grief and providing effective support.   

We do not recommend booking both courses. Please choose the one most relevant to your role.
