If you’ve been affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child, we know that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and sometimes, typing can feel easier than talking.
If you’re looking for someone to chat to online, our webchat service offers a calm, confidential space for anyone over 18 years old, to connect directly with our bereavement support advisers. Our team is here to listen, support, and help you process whatever you’re feeling right now.

We're here to listen

Our webchat service offers a safe, confidential space to chat to one of our bereavement support advisers online, Monday to Friday 10:00am to 12:00pm.  

You can reach out to us at any time, whether your baby died recently or a long time ago. We aim to support you in a way which feels meaningful and helpful to you.

You can use webchat if: 

  • You have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child
  • You are supporting a bereaved family member or friend
  • You have questions about grief, coping, or the support available
  • You're a health care professional who works with bereaved families and you're seeking support for yourself

Monday – Friday: 10:00am to 12:00pm*

If the webchat is open, you’ll see a button below inviting you to start a conversation with one of our advisers. If we are offline, you can still reach us in other ways.

Our closed bereavement support groups on Facebook provide safe, caring online spaces where you can connect with others who truly understand. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, pregnant after loss or supporting a loved one, you’re welcome to join the group that feels right for you.

Speak to a befriender

Befriending is a listening support service that is offered to all adult family members who have been bereaved. Our team of befrienders are bereaved parents, grandparents and adult family members who can offer support.
