Apply to join one of our Committees

Our Board of Trustees is supported by a number of sub-Committees, and we are now looking to recruit volunteers to join them. This is a great opportunity for anyone with the skills we are looking for to support our work and find out more about how The Lullaby Trust operates and how we support families and professionals.

The Committees we are looking to recruit to are:

  • Finance and Resources Committee
  • Fundraising and Communications Committee
  • Services Committee
  • Grants Committee

Skills and experience needed

We are looking for specific skills and experience to support the work of the Committees. If you have one or more of these skills, or experience in these areas, then we would love to hear from you:

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Public health
  • Scientific research (not just in unexpected infant death, could be any field)
  • Social work
  • Human resources
  • Charity finance/tax
  • Child death review and pathology
  • Bereavement care and support
  • Professional training
  • Fundraising: Community, challenge events and individual giving
  • Social media
  • Digital marketing
  • Campaigning, advocacy and public relations

We particularly welcome applications from those with lived experience of sudden infant or child death, and from communities that experience health inequalities.

What being on a Committee involves

Our Committees are made up of both Trustees and volunteers with experience or skills that relate to the work of the Committee. They meet online usually 4 times a year. All Committees have terms of reference and anyone joining is expected to agree to follow our Code of Conduct for Committee members.

How to apply

To apply please email your CV to with a covering letter telling us a bit about yourself and explaining which of the areas of skills and experience you meet. Applications will then be shortlisted by the Chairs of each Committee working with our Senior Leadership Team and we will have calls with those applicants who are shortlisted.  The deadline for applying is Friday 1st March.
